This policy describes how the QuoteCat app ("the App") handles information.
Data on your device. Your quotes, settings, and other data are stored only on your device. We do not collect or store your personal data on our servers. If you uninstall the app, this data is removed and cannot be recovered unless you have exported a backup (e.g. via Export as JSON).
Push notifications. The App can send you daily quote notifications if you grant permission. This uses an on-device notification token. This token is not transmitted to our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Purchases and third parties. If you make a purchase (e.g. premium unlock) inside the App, payment is processed by Apple or Google. Their privacy policies apply to that transaction. To manage purchases and entitlements, we use the service RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes an anonymous user ID and purchase receipts to provide your premium status across devices. For more information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Automatic updates. The App may download minor updates (so-called OTA updates) via the Expo Updates service. This establishes a connection to Expo servers, during which technical data such as your IP address may be transmitted. For more information, see the Expo Privacy Policy.
No selling of data. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Minimum age. The App is intended for persons aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
